Will this marketing plan really work? Will it be worth the effort?
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been asked this question… ; )
Not me as your business coach, not the owners of Instagram or Facebook. YOU.
I can share ideas.
I can help you craft captions.
I can select imagery.
I can talk best-practice strategy.
I can strengthen your messaging.
I can edit your website.
I can suggest networking opportunities.
I can improve your client interaction.
I can provide constructive feedback.
I can develop blog topics.
I can be your voice of reason.
I can be your #1 cheerleader and accountability partner.
But I can’t BE YOU.
Show up consistently on the platforms your ideal customer or client is engaging with. And by consistently, I mean MULTIPLE times a week.
Be personal.
Engage. Reply genuinely to every comment and direct message. Similarly, return the favor and engage back with content created by others in your market.
Remain present and current in everything you do. (That blog page or portfolio you haven’t updated in a year… fix that.)
Serve your followers with zero expectation of receiving anything in return.
Build and actively maintain a professional network who will refer you.
Deliver on your promises and exceed expectations so every interaction a client or customer has with you is one they will speak highly of.
Run your business with honesty, kindness and integrity. Don’t be a “player” chasing likes and follows. Be the reliable, honest, and trustworthy one who continues to show up in this social media world.
Let’s start looking at marketing as an opportunity to serve and connect, rather than a chore to be added to our “to do” list. And I just have a feeling if you approach marketing with a servant’s mentality, you might start to see the pay off sooner than you expect.
