Well that escalated quickly…. Suddenly I’m 21 weeks pregnant, our apartment is a jungle gym of boxes, and we’re “one sleep” away from boarding our flight to Australia.

Despite writing this caption sitting on a cardboard box with my laptop on the windowsill, I’m still in complete denial about MOVING COUNTRIES tomorrow.

I’m torn between complete elation about being so close to our families once again and the gut wrenching realisation of leaving behind the dearest of friends here in Canada who have become our international family.

But above all of the emotion, I’ve been filled with such gratitude. Sure, I’m moving countries—but I’m taking with me my two loves in Jono and Lydia, a miracle pregnancy, friendships for a life, and an established business that feels like my calling. What more could I possibly ask for?

And on that professional note there’s a few special people I need to thank, as my life would look incredibly different if I never moved to North America and met them.

1. Thank you Spread Love Events for being the best girlfriend and entrepreneurial colleague I never knew I needed. You opened my eyes to a whole new world of career possibilities, encouraged me when I needed it, and showed me how to create my own definition of success and fulfillment. Your grace, integrity and heart are qualities you bring to all that you do, and I know our adventures together in life and business are only just beginning. 

2. Thank you Celsia Floral for letting me convince you to teach me about the world of flowers and weddings back in 2012. Watching and playing a small part in the growth of your business has brought me so much satisfaction. Here’s to continuing our Strategy Sessions together for many years to come!

3. Thank you If I Made for challenging me, expanding my skill set beyond belief, and being the perfect complement to my analytical, strategic brain! Collaborating and “brain dumping” with you brings me endless enjoyment, and I’m not sure The Strategy Studio would exist today if it weren’t for our paths crossing all those years ago.
