Are you using Instagram to its full potential?
Using Instagram as an effective marketing tool is about more than regularly posting content. But when you’re available time to “do more” is limited, it’s so much more rewarding when you can see a return on your marketing investment. So here’s how you’re going to try and make that happen.
USE YOUR DMs.
We’re all getting better at using Instagram Stories’ features such as polls, questions etc to encourage interaction and engagement with followers, but most of the time we then do NOTHING with that truly valuable data.
As an example, if you put up a question sticker on Instagram asking “What are you struggling with most in your business / wedding planning / fitness regime / [enter relevant category here]?, what do you do with those responses?
You might use them as ideas for future Instagram captions or blog content, but you’ve also just generated leads you can nurture! Have you considered that before?
How great would that make you feel? How much more inclined would you be to want to work with that business, or at minimum recommend them to someone else?
THAT’S the experience you want to offer to your followers. Serve them well, always, without the expectation of anything in return.
Posting content is great, but just like your email inbox, the follow-up is equally—if not more—important.
