Do you ever get that unsettled feeling in your business; like somethings not quite right but you can’t figure out what it is?
Maybe you’re unsure of the direction you’re heading and what next step you should take.
You might sense you’re losing that entrepreneurial spark, but don’t know why or how to get it back.
Or it could be what I call “all the things”! It’s not any ONE thing that’s bothering you, but the culmination of seemingly insignificant events that are all making you feel off your game.
Whenever I get this “not quite right” feeling I know it’s time for some business strategy work.
But this doesn’t have to be some big formal document you pay through the nose for (and then put in a draw and ignore).
I believe business strategy is something we can all check-in with regularly, asking ourselves questions like:
What are my business goals, and am I getting any closer to them?
When did I last sit down and revisit my goals to make sure they’re still in alignment with what I want for my business / family / life?
Am I making time for myself and my business, or am I prioritising my clients and neglecting my own goals?
What’s my action plan for achieving that next goal? Have I broken down the tasks that need to happen to step me closer towards achieving it?
A book has a structure to help organise how the story will progress. Your business needs a structure to help organise your thinking, connect you with clients and step you towards your goals.
