Have you ever spotted someone’s Instagram captions or bio and wondered how they’ve made it look fancy with different fonts?

Here’s all you need to know in 3 STEPS.

Step 1: Google “Instagram Fonts Generator”. You’ll get plenty of results; I just went with the first one that popped up. 

Step 2: Type the word or phrase you want in an alternate font and hit ‘enter’ to see all of the results. 

Step 3: Copy the font result you like the most and paste it into your Instagram bio, captions, comments or IGTV description. (You can do this in your scheduling app as well—you don’t need to do it directly into Instagram.)

A few quick pointers to keep in mind: 

• Don’t go overboard with fancy fonts. Consider your brand aesthetic and only use custom fonts for emphasis on particular words / phrases / symbols.

• Be consistent. Once you find one or two custom fonts you like, stick to them rather than using a new font every time you post. 

• Be aware of legibility. A lot of the custom fonts generated for Instagram are hard to read.
