“I don’t know yet how this is going to impact my business. I’m just hoping we can weather this storm.”
If you’ve thought the above, you’re not alone. We’re ALL thinking it. But if there’s one thing I can impress upon you during this time of unknowns, let it be this:
Hope: a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen.
Strategy: a plan of action designed to achieve an overall aim.
While there’s no doubt we all need a little hope in our lives right now, we equally need to take control of what we can, be proactive, and INNOVATE.
Let’s get that glass half full (and keep pouring if you need to) and find the opportunity amidst unexpected chaos.
Remember: Not every opportunity will have immediate financial gain, but don’t dismiss its potential if it doesn’t top up your bank account tomorrow. COVID-19 is a LONG GAME and we need to play it as such.
How else can your expertise be useful right now? Can you turn your hand to support another business with your skillset with the offer that they pay you at a later date, or through an exchange of services?
What extra value can you offer to a client (at no charge) as a goodwill gesture to encourage them to continue working with you at this challenging financial time.
Can you offer an abridged version of your service at a reduced rate?
What benefit can you bring to your online community at this time?
How can you serve your broader community?
How can you use this unexpected “alone time” to focus on aspects of your business or big ideas that have long been on the back-burner?
