Here’s a fact: 70% of people visiting your marketing materials (such as your social media channels and website) are doing so on mobile devices.
“That’s fine” you might be thinking. “My website is mobile responsive.”
Here’s what I mean by that: The way we use websites on mobile devices is COMPLETELY different to the way we use websites on our computers. In short, people on mobile devices rarely switch pages to get into the “meat” of your website—they stick to the home page.
So if this is the case, how much of your content are website visitors potentially missing out on if they are ONLY seeing your home page?
Can they find an email address to contact you?
Do they know what your services are?
Can they see examples of your work?
Do they even know who you are?
When you next find yourself with a spare 15 minutes and your phone in hand, visit your website and reflect on these thoughts.
What could you do differently to make sure your home page on a mobile device communicates to potential clients in the best way possible?
