If I was to ask you the question “What can you tell me about your ideal client?” what would you say?
You could no doubt tell me things like their age, gender, income, location, whether or not they have children, level of education and so on.
But could you tell me:
What are their interests?
What social media platforms do they use on a daily basis?
What type of content do they find engaging?
Do they prefer to watch, read, or listen to content?
What time of day are they usually online?
Who else do they follow and engage with on social media?
When it comes to developing an effective social media strategy, a large part of it involves being able to answer questions like these.
Once you know the type of content that interests you audience, the platforms they most engage with, and when they are typically online, you will have a clear idea on who you’re communicating with and how best to reach them.
THEN you can move on to determining the type of content your business can bring value through sharing to start connecting with that ideal client you have identified.
