Have you heard of Clubhouse yet? It’s a new social platform based entirely on AUDIO.
No need for hours of content creation, no weird dance moves you need to learn, no fancy new tech to master! I think you’re going to LOVE it like I do.
Here I thought I’d answer some of the most common questions I’m hearing about Clubhouse.
Clubhouse is a new audio-based social media app. It’s filled with virtual “rooms” that are a bit like live podcasts that you can listen in on and even take part in, if you want. You select the interest areas / topics people / experts / influencers you want to follow, and then jump in and out of conversations you’re inspired by.
As Clubhouse is still in its testing phase, joining is currently by invite only. (Anyone that’s already a member gets invites they can use, so ask around!) Even if you’re waiting for an invite, you can download the app and reserve your username. At the moment, Clubhouse only works for iPhone users.
Clubhouse is fantastic for networking, growing your authority on particular subject matter, and expanding your knowledge on interest areas. It’s also based on real-time VOICE conversations that bring value. There is no imagery, no written captions, no video. (Content creation made easy!)
I highly doubt it. The company has been valued at about $100 million USD even though it doesn’t even have a public website yet and is still in testing! Also, audio is the way of the future, and Clubhouse lets you capitalise on audio without the need for any high-tech software or recording equipment. All you need is your phone and your voice.
