If you really struggle to get ChatGPT to write decent marketing content for your brand, it might be because you’re not inputting the right prompts.
I teach small business owners how to make ChatGPT the best tool in your marketing toolkit, and these are the top 3 prompts I swear by.
“I need your help to write marketing content that truly reflects my brand. To do this, I’d like to provide you with detailed information about my brand identity, target audience, tone of voice, and marketing goals. Could you please give me a list of specific questions that will help you understand my brand deeply and ensure the content you generate is on point?”
Once you’ve answered all of ChatGPTs questions, follow it up with this prompt:
“Do you have any more questions I can answer for you? If not, can you please write me a 250-word summary of the content I’ve just input to communicate your understanding of this brand?”
“Can you please use the copy from my newsletter below and write 5 detailed Instagram captions? Each caption should stand alone, be at least 4 sentences, provide clear and actionable insights, delve into the topic, explain its significance, and offer a solution or perspective shift. Ensure each caption is engaging, uses the brand voice from the newsletter, and offers value to the reader. Let me know if you have any questions before starting. [paste newsletter copy]”
“Please ask me any questions you have before starting to ensure you fully understand what I need.”
Don’t underestimate the usefulness of that last prompt! It’s one of my most-used prompts! Need more prompt guidance? Grab my ChatGPT Marketing Prompt Guide!
